Case Study – Shell Carmon Creek
Early December, 2014, Advantage Sport was invited to price the Shell Carmon Creek project in Northern Alberta. The scope of work daunting, the paperwork substantial and the installation dates very aggressive.
The Operations team faced tight time lines in order to get the materials ordered for the installation dates and several crews had to be ready, certified for medical health and safety, to work at this remote site. Logistically, not an easy task.
Scope of the project :
- 775 sq. ft. of Roppe Rubber in the hall
- 2 610 sq. ft. of ceramic tile in the bathrooms, including walls and borders
- 472 sq. ft. of VCT (vinyl composition tile) in storage and janitor rooms
- 7 000 sq. ft. of MaxMat in the cardio and weightlifting areas
- 14 500 sq. ft. of PolyTurf Plus Pad and Pour (+ Tarkolay) on the track, two gymnasiums and other transition areas
A whopping 25 357 sq. ft. of flooring installed in just over one month!
Working with this client and general contractor was a pleasure. We successfully completed the project within the required time frame to everyone’s complete satisfaction. A very well deserved thank you to everyone who worked on this project.
