Case Study \u2013 Lindsay Recreation Complex<\/h2>\n

Challenge<\/h2>\n

The Lindsay Recreation Complex<\/em> (Kawartha Lakes, Ontario) wanted to make its multi-purpose room<\/a> even more versatile. They were hoping to create a brighter and more inviting feel for future events, meetings, camps, and sports activities. Most importantly, the poured floor they had was not adapted to their multifunctional requirements, especially for their desire to host sports activities.<\/p>\n

Strategy<\/h2>\n

The selection of a proper surface can be a challenging task as multiple providers recommend a multitude of possible products to answer our needs. It can also be difficult to evaluate each proposed product in order to find the ideal solution. Due to our previous work for the Municipality of Kawartha Lakes<\/em>, the Lindsay Recreation Complex<\/em> felt confident in awarding the project to Advantage Sport<\/em>. They knew us well from our flooring work at the Little Britain <\/em>Community Centre<\/a> arena as well as at the Forbert Memorial Pool<\/em>. We also provided and installed the rubber flooring<\/a> in multiple change rooms at the Lindsay<\/em> facility a few years earlier.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, it was determined that the Omnisports 7.1 synthetic vinyl<\/a> product met their needs for their installation. Planning for the project involved follow-ups with the complex personnel each week to share information and updates. They particularly appreciated the product\u2019s shock-absorbing characteristics, its phthalate-free technology, and the Asthma & Allergy Friendly\u2122<\/em> certification for better indoor air\u00a0quality. Also, the polyurethane wear layer treatment provides excellent durability and the smooth surface contributes to the easy maintenance of this product.<\/p>\n

Result<\/h2>\n

In the end, the customer is very happy with the look and feel of their multifunctional room<\/a>. They achieved both a practical\u00a0and visually pleasing versatile space.<\/p>\n

Following this successful project in their facility, they are already planning on coming to us for flooring solutions for their 1,600-square-foot cardio room<\/a> that is scheduled for renovation before the end of the year. With our many athletic flooring solutions, we are sure to find a great fit for this type of fitness room as well.<\/p>\n
