Nashwaaksis Middle School in Fredericton has maintained a trusted partnership with Advantage Sport for more than 40 years, supporting the maintenance and evolution of its main gymnasium. This 30,000 square foot athletic facility serves as a central space for both school and community physical activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The history of the school\u2019s sports flooring reflects the evolution of athletic surface technologies. Following the initial installation of a Uni-Turf system in 1977 and its replacement with Taraflex in 2001, the school reassessed its needs in 2019 to adopt a modern solution aligned with current safety, performance, and durability standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Advantage Sport performed a complete removal of the existing flooring before installing an Omnisports 9.4 system in Beech, combined with a Tarkolay underlayment, across the full 30,000 square feet. The Tarkolay system functions as a decoupling and moisture management layer, improving stability and protecting the longevity of the new floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
