Project context<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Teueikan School in Mingan required the complete removal of its deteriorated VCT tile flooring, which had become unsafe for students. The existing surface no longer met the safety standards expected in an active school gymnasium environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While searching for an appropriate sports flooring solution, the school discovered the Omnisports product line and selected a system that combined athletic performance with an aesthetic inspired by traditional hardwood gym floors. The project covered approximately 6,200 square feet in the main gymnasium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Challenge and objectives<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Advantage Sport was mandated to replace an inadequate and potentially hazardous surface with a safe and durable sports flooring system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The challenge was to balance safety, athletic performance, and visual impact within a community school environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Technical solution<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Advantage Sport installed an Omnisports Active+ system using the GreenLay installation method, known for its stability and long-term durability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To recreate the look of stained wood, Golden Maple and Light Maple tones were combined to produce a distinctive and warm hardwood-inspired appearance. The gymnasium features five custom logos, along with a Royal Blue perimeter and custom lettering, reinforcing the school\u2019s identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In addition, corridors and hallways were finished with Omnisports Speed in Golden Maple, incorporating a Royal Blue intersection with an additional logo. This approach created strong visual continuity between the athletic and circulation areas. The project was completed in close collaboration with school administrators and community representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
