Project context

Located in Montreal, the Évangéline High School gymnasium showed significant wear after years of intensive daily use. The sports surface had become discolored, certain areas displayed visible deterioration, and game lines were nearly erased. This negatively impacted court visibility, user comfort, and the overall quality of physical education and sports activities.

A complete renovation was required to restore functionality, improve student safety, and modernize the athletic environment.

Challenge and objectives

Advantage Sport was mandated to replace a heavily worn surface while meeting the demands of a high-traffic school environment.

• restoring clear and durable multisport game lines

• modernizing the gymnasium’s appearance
• delivering a durable, low-maintenance solution

The key challenge was to provide a versatile surface capable of supporting intensive daily use.

Technical solution

Advantage Sport supplied and installed Omnisports Active+ flooring across approximately 9,300 square feet. The Golden Maple and Grey colour combination modernized the space while improving court definition and visual clarity.

Installation was completed using the GreenLay method, known for stability, rapid installation, and long-term durability. This approach reduces adhesive use, simplifies future interventions, and contributes to the system’s lifespan.

Omnisports Active+ was selected for its shock absorption, controlled traction, and wear resistance — essential characteristics for multifunctional school gymnasiums.
