Project context 

All Around Athletics (AAA) developed a new training facility in Collingwood, Ontario, designed for rentals and high-performance athletic preparation. The facility needed to accommodate various sports and user groups, requiring a durable, versatile, and visually distinctive sports flooring solution.

The goal was to create a professional environment capable of supporting intensive training sessions while maintaining strong visual identity and operational flexibility.

Challenge and objectives

Advantage Sport was tasked with designing a sports surface that meets the demands of a high-traffic training facility.

Primary objectives included:

• providing a resilient surface suitable for intensive training
• creating a distinctive design that reinforces the facility’s identity
• integrating a secondary court for warmups and small groups
• maintaining visual consistency across playing areas
• ensuring traction, comfort, and durability in a commercial environment

The challenge was to balance technical performance, versatility, and aesthetic impact.

Technical solution

Advantage Sport supplied and installed Omnisports Active+ flooring across approximately 8,000 square feet, distributed between two sports surfaces.The combination of Light Maple and Grey Maple tones created strong visual contrast, adding depth and dimension while improving court readability.

Installation was completed using a full-glue method, providing maximum adhesion, enhanced stability, and consistent performance for intensive training environments.

An additional overflow court was created to support warmups and small-group training. The custom border extending into the 3-point key ensures visual continuity and reinforces the facility’s design identity.
