Ridley College, a well-established private school in St. Catharines, Ontario, is recognized for its academic excellence, strong athletic programs, and long-standing traditions. As part of the modernization of its athletic facilities, the school sought to develop multiple specialized sports spaces tailored to various uses.

The project involved Advantage Sport contributing to five distinct rooms, each requiring specific flooring solutions. The centerpiece of the mandate was a 20,000-square-foot main gymnasium designed to support competitive athletics and institutional events.

Challenge and objectives

Advantage Sport was tasked with installing a hardwood sports surface capable of meeting the demands of a high-level academic and competitive multisport environment.

Technical solution

Advantage Sport installed a ClutchCourt Performance VERT (2.25″) system across the primary gymnasium surface. This high-performance hardwood sports floor provides optimized shock absorption, enhanced stability, and durability suited to competitive environments.

The facility includes both a primary court and a secondary court, each featuring multisport game lines for basketball, volleyball, and badminton. The overall gymnasium design supports versatile use while meeting the standards required for high-level school competition.
