Project context

Académie Lafontaine in Saint-Jerome sought to modernize the flooring of its double gymnasium to replace an aging surface and support long-term athletic activities. The institution required a durable solution capable of handling intensive school use while accommodating extracurricular and community programs.

The project covered approximately 13,340 square feet, representing a central space for physical education classes, school events, and sports programming outside regular hours.

Advantage Sport was tasked with delivering a high-performance renovation solution that could be installed over the existing floor while ensuring durability and comfort.

The challenge was to modernize the gymnasium without full reconstruction while maintaining high sports performance.

Technical solution

Advantage Sport installed an Omnisports 7.1 system in Golden Maple and Royal Blue across approximately 13,340 square feet, using a full-glue installation directly over the existing floor.

This approach improved system stability and extended the lifespan of the surface while minimizing structural work. Omnisports 7.1 provides a balanced combination of comfort, shock absorption, and wear resistance suited to multifunctional school gymnasiums.

The color combination modernized the gymnasium’s appearance while improving the visibility of playing areas.
